She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlette Opsal (Johnson) and Maurice Opsal; and her brothers, Duane Opsal and Arlyn Opsal. She is survived by: her husband Truman of Sisseton, SD; her children, Liz Finnesand (Calvin) of Peever, SD, Ken Nelson (Bonnie) of Circle, MT and Kathy Meyer (Paul) of Rosholt, SD; her stepmother Vivian Opsal of Sisseton, SD; her sisters, Barbara Gray (Richard) of Westminster, CO, Sharon Schmaus (Merle) of St. Paul, MN and Cheryl Long (Jim) of New Effington, SD; her sisters-in-law, Carol Jean Martenson of Sisseton, SD and Judy Opsal of St. Michael, MN.; and also, Clay Finnesand, Crystal Hoffman, Naomi Nelson, Miles Nelson, Britt Wickett, Brock Wickett, Kendra Benedetto, Erica Kilgore, Hadley Meyer, Brinley Hoffman, Eli Nelson and Truman Kilgore. She is also survived by four step grandchildren and twelve step great-grandchildren.
