He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rev. Carl, Emma Schade (Eikelberg), Henry and Mathilda Anderson (Ericsson); his parents, Carl Schade and Gladys Schade; his stepfathers, Martin Berg and Nick; his mother-in-law Marie Hollen; his nephew Alan (Ada Hrncir); and also, Gene, Margie Erickson, Lawrence and Jenny Erickson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Erickson; his sisters, Karen, Gerry Oyen of Pueblo, CO, Ardys and Terry Pulse of Rapid City, SD; his sisters-in-law, Joy, Gene Hrncir of Watertown, SD and Lynda Erickson of Hutchinson, MN; and his godchildren, Jason Samson, Michelle Luce, Jamie Dempsey, Lisa Clendenin, Sara Hrncir, Eric Hrncir, Angie Elton, Austin Gunderson, Hannah Feten, Miles Oyen and River Clendenin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
