He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Lois, Gregory Hintgen, Helen and Joseph Vetter; his aunts and uncles, George Hintgen, John Linn, Nancy Vetter, Earl Bihlmeyer and Rita Linn; and his cousin Paul Vetter.
He is survived by: his parents, Lawrence Hintgen and Kathleen Hintgen (Vetter) of Yankton, SD; his brothers, Tony, Chris and Greg; his children, Samuel Anthony Hintgen (Hannah Owens) of Omaha, NE and Chelsea Elizabeth Hintgen (Ryan Li) of Tucson, AZ; his grandchildren, Arianna and Ericka of Phoenix, AZ; his brother Christopher Hintgen (Kristine); his nieces and nephews, Jonah, Joseph and Mary of Vadnais Heights, MN; his brother Gregory Hintgen (Libby); and his nieces, Clara and Gabrielle "Coco" of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Spearfish Community Foundation.
