It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Meland (Spearfish, South Dakota), born in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, who passed away on February 9, 2019, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Frederick Meland and Bertha Meland (Finwick); his wife Irene Weisbrod; his sons, Ricky and Larry; and his friend Helen Wingenbach.

He is survived by : his children, Lois, Sharon, Lorene, Connie, Ronald and Omar. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
