Robert Dean Garness Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2020, at the age of 88, Robert Dean Garness in Spearfish, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Andy Garness and Beatrice Garness; his former wife Mary Katherine McNeill; his wife Kathy; his children, Ken Garness (Jane) of Belle Fourche, Alan Garness (Norma) of Rapid City, Randy Garness of Rapid City, Cheryl Atencio (Larry) of Colorado Springs, CO and Susan Kidd of Phoenix, Arizona; his brother Wayne Garness; his sister-in-law Patricia Yanzick; and his son-in-law Gary Ball. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established by the family.
