We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2019, at the age of 95, Sarah A. Halsey (Springfield, South Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John J. R. Hofer and Anna J. Hofer of Bridgewater; her son-in-law Jan Nagel; her siblings, Eli (Justina Hofer), Samuel Hofer, Rebecca (Paul Walter) and Peter (Pearl Hofer); her brother-in-law James Preheim; and her siblings, David, Mary and John.

She is survived by : her former life partner Clarence Glen Halsey; her husband Glen "Shorty" Halsey; her daughters, Connie Ferdig of Yankton, Janice Bailey of Huntsville, AL and Nancy Nagel of Trumbull, CT; and her sister Dorothy Preheim of Freeman. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and many beloved great and great-great grandchildren.
