She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter L. Wenzel and Helen Wenzel; her former husband William Komes; her son Troy Komes; and her husband Paul Horsey.
She is survived by: her son Scott Komes (Heidi); her grandson Kody of Union Center, SD; her siblings, Terry Wenzel (Lana) of Belle Fourche, Donna Bares (Jim) of Sturgis and Cathy Timmons (John) of White Owl; and her aunt Dorothy French of Sturgis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Enning Fire Department.
