She was predeceased by : her parents, Bernard Simmons and Iva Simmons; her husband Paul Messmer; her children, Allan and Jackie Johnson; and her brother Lyle.
She is survived by : her son Jeff (Tricia); her son-in-law Lee Johnson of Wessington Springs; her sister Connie of Omaha; her grandchildren, Lacey, Laura, Nicholas, Andy, Alexa, Blake, Austin, Jacob and Mariah; and her great grandchildren, Lainey, Bray, Lexi, Cora, Eli, Kolt and Jett. She is also survived by friends, especially her grandkids.
