She was predeceased by : her parents, Archie P Geiver and Iola Geiver (Gandy); her husband Thomas W. Thompson; her sisters-in-law, Alma Mohling and Abbie Younie of Wessington Springs; her daughter Madonna Merkel; and her sisters, Lavaughn (Hollis Grieve) and Kathryn (Wayne Linn).
She is survived by : her children, Marvin Thompson of Rapid City, Dorothy Abernathy (Jack) of Gann Valley, Timothy Thompson of Box Elder and Ronald T. Thompson (Kay) of Wessington Springs; and her son-in-law Donnie Merkel of Bradley. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren.
