Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gertrude Schuman (White Lake, South Dakota), who passed away at the age of 93, on January 27, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kluthe and Ottilia Kluthe (Morath); her husband Dick Schuman; her daughter Sherry VanLankveldt; her husband Gene; and her siblings, Barbara, Irene Beckman, Teresa Rossman, Rosella Kalk, Marie Assmus, Walt, Lawrence and Sylvester Kluthe.
She is survived by: her children, Bill (JoAnn), Larry (Peg), Kenny (Cheryl), Jan Kristensen (Gary), Carol Meilke, Jim (Janice), Betty Luebke (Cal), Richard (Ann), Joe (Wendy), Barb Meier (Todd) and Lenny (Jean); her brother Clem Kluthe; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Schuman and Dorothy Shottenkirk. She is also survived by her 40 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials to White Lake Nutrition Center, St. Peters Catholic Church, and the Aurora-Brule Nursing Home.
