He is survived by: his children, Beverly Niehus (Tom) of Kansas City, MO, Roger Mathey of Madison, SD, Debora Mathey of Mitchell, SD, Patricia Mathey of Mitchell, SD and Kevin Mathey of White Lake, SD; his grandchildren, Melissa Kramer (Tommy), Beau, Dylan, Drew Niehus (Roxanne) and Cici; his great grandchildren, Rueben, Tommy, Grant Niehus (Allie), Eric Mathey, Donivyn, Brooke Van Zee (Daniel) and Granger; and his stepgrandson Tyler Weber.
