He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Engen and Lorraine Engen (Eide); his son Aaron; his sisters, Blanche Gjoraas, Janet Engen and Janice Engen; and his nephews, Phillip Sorensen and David Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Smith); his sons, Seth Engen (Maggie), Kyle Engen (Jacque) and Ethan Engen (Izzy); his grandchildren, Ollan, Sampson and Patsy; his sisters, Sandra Rodel (Bill) and Cleo Sorensen (Terry); and his brother-in-law Ron Gjoraas. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Viborg Community Center (101 E Sorenson St, Viborg, SD 57070). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
