He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carl and Mary Lou Evans Chambers; his wife Nell Jones; his son Jeff Chambers; and his siblings, Warren G. Chambers, James Robert Chambers (J. R.), Glenn Abernathy Chambers (Abb), Willa Mae Chambers Thomas, Alene Chambers Pettigrew, Mildred Chambers Wigginton and Audrey Chambers Dowty.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Mahlon Hellman (Mark) of Hendersonville, TN, Dexter Chambers (Carrie) of Gallatin, TN and Dustin Chambers; his great grandchild Marlee Lynn Hellman; his sister Jo Ann Hughes of Michie, TN; his daughter-in-law Sheryl Glidewell Chambers; and his close friend Nancy Wade.
