He is survived by: his parent Harue Moffett Gibbs; his wife Patsy; his daughter Kathy Milford (Chris) of Adamsville; his great grandchildren, Casen Battles and Collin Battles; his sisters-in-law, Ernestine, Lois, Kay, Martha Ray, Josie, Becky and Diana; his daughter-in-law Betsy Tapp Gibbs; and his brothers, John, Hoover, Joe, Fay, Kenny, Billy and Donny. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
