He is survived by: his wife Cathy Hill Carothers; his sons, John Henry Carothers (Laura), Richard Lee Carothers, Benjamin Stuart Carothers (Shauna) and Thomas Andrew Carothers (Sarah); his grandchildren, Kiptyn, Mila Kate, Paisley, William, Kermit James, Clara Jane and Joni; his brothers, Jim Carothers (Wanda), Paul Carothers (Terrie), Tim Carothers (Teresa) and Dell Carothers; his parents-in-law, Homer and Jo Hill; his brother-in-law Dennis Neal Plunk; and his close friends, David, Millie Rushlow, Jimmy, Sylvia Naylor, Van and Maryanne Vansandt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
