He was predeceased by: his parents, R. V. "Verlin" and Lottie Strong; his aunt Bernice Parker (Paskell); his brother-in-law Bobbie Wilhoit; and his great-niece Angel Wilhoit.
He is survived by: his wife Rose White Strong; his sister Wanda Lea Wilhoit; his nephews, Shane Wilhoit (Ellen) of Sevierville and Rance Wilhoit; his siblings-in-law, Ruth Dinwiddie and Don White; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Beth Loveday, Brooke Shelley, Brandon Wilhoit of Illinois and Parker Wilhoit; his cousins, Don and Ron Strong; and his close friends, Raymond, Melissa, Kassidi, Jackson Britton, Joyce Treadway and Loretta Crumm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery.
