He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Deyton and Pauline Cogburn Deyton; and his granddaughter Reahanna McCoy. He is survived by: his wife Debra Deyton; his children, Jefferson Deyton, John Deyton of Greeneville and Kristy Deyton Cansler (Keith); his siblings, Edward Deyton (Billie) of Afton, Ina Ruth Deyton and Loretta Boone (Mike) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Daphanie, Deanna McCoy of Greeneville and Elijah Deyton; and his close friends, Roger Cutshaw, Roho Collins, Allen Jones and Jim Bunch. He is also survived by friends; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to help offset funeral expense.
