He is survived by : his brother John Chowning; his wife Bonnie Warren Stockton; his daughter Elizabeth (John Hudson) of Cookeville; his grandchildren, Matthew Hudson (Julie) of Lancing, TN and Laurie Cipriani (Jim) of Nashville; his great grandchildren, Maeve Hudson, Henry Hudson, Jack Cipriani and Dean Cipriani; and his sister Betty Reed of Algood.
