She was predeceased by : her husband Howard Sherfey; her children, Jack Gardner, Betty Gardner and Randy Gardner; her grandson Jake Boles; her siblings, Altie Mae Ramsey, Webster Lewis, Charles Lewis and James A. Lewis; and her stepdaughter Mary Ann Westerman.

She is survived by : her children, Pennie (Johnny Dyer) and Shelia Hammock; her grandchildren, Jack Janes, Crystal Kelley (Derek Boats), Danielle Kelley, Jessica Keen, Vanessa Moss, Jonathan Dyer and Cody Gardner; her great grandchildren, Olivia Kelley, Ashton Allen, Jaylynn Reeves, Abbie Ogles, Kessie Keen, Lennon Moss, Kelsie Lane, Kayleigh Lane and Junior Janes; her stepchildren, Ida Kathy Luke, Elsie Eileen Vercher, Howard Allen Sherfey, Jean Thompson and Karen Stire; and her sister Estelle Lewis. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
