She is survived by: her parents, Andrew Walter and Katherine Hunter Buckner; her husband Chris Tate; her children, Nathan Tate (Sierra) of Johnson City, TN and Carson Tate of Antioch; and her sisters, Nancy Rewitzer (David) of Georgia, Linda Todd (Phillip) of Nashville, Betty Ferrell (Frank) of Walter Hill and Stephanie Buckner of Antioch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to her favorite charity, big fluffy dog rescue.
