He is survived by: his wife Rosalee Carter; his sons, Dennis Carter (Trisha), David Carter (Angel) and Daniel Carter (Charisse); and his half-siblings, Mike McGoldrick (Judy), Johnny Carter and K. N. Wilburn. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
