He was predeceased by : his parents, Claud Read and Ollie Fogus Read; his siblings, Jackie Neal "Bud" Reed and Libby Williams; his nephew Mike Reed (Tammy); his niece Samantha Lampley; and his brother-in-law Steve Creech.

He is survived by : his wife Becky Read; his children, Tony Read (Amy) and Candice Shoulders (Jason); his sister Debi Westbrooks; and his pet Jack Red Read.
