We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2025, at the age of 88, Mary Valerie Dittman of Ashland City, Tennessee passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Valerie Dittman to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Joseph Eckroat and Valera Eckroat (Coffey); her husband Richard Henry Dittman; and her siblings, James Eckroat, Patricia Applegate, Barbara Wild and Georgia Knight.
She is survived by: her children, Paul Dittman (Catherine Thomas), Jim Dittman (Robin) and Angela Taber (Gary); and her grandchildren, Kayla Dittman, Bryan Dittman, Sarah Dittman, Gregory Dittman, Michael Dittman, Riley Dittman, David Dittman and George Taber. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Cheatham County Funeral Home (117 Elizabeth St, Ashland City, TN 37015). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Martha's Catholic Church (3331 Bell St, Ashland City, TN 37015).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Martha's Catholic Church or Cheatham County Veterans Memorial Park.
