With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shelby Jane Empson (Ashland City, Tennessee), who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sanders (Buster) and Elizabeth Sanders (Essie); her husband Joe; her sister-in-law June Empson Futrell; and her friends, Alwilda Binkley and Gwen Doughten.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Empson (Patrice) of Ashland City and Rhonda Dodson (Mark); her grandchildren, Kane, Gabrielle, Isabella Dodson, Trey (Joanna) and Bryant Shearon (Anna) of Ashland City; her great grandchildren, Jolie, Easton, Ford, Fiona, Everly and Reason; her siblings, Sue Oliver-Reker of Ashland City, Penny Hughes of Clearwater, FL, James Ray Sanders (Kathy) of Barlow, KY and Terry Sanders (Susan) of Ashland City; and her sister-in-law Sue Empson Workman (Channing) of Nashville, TN..
