She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Burris; her parents, Clyde Whaley and Gladys Galyon Whaley; her sons, Chadwick Eugene "Chad" Burris and Chris Burris; her siblings, Shirley Jean McCracken and Kenneth Whaley; and her sister-in-law Sandra Whaley.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Haley Burris; her brother Clyde Bo Whaley; her siblings-in-law, Johnny McCracken and Paulette Whaley; her sibling's children, Lori McCracken Elliott, Darren McCracken (Mina), Jill Whaley and Shelley Whaley; and her caregiver Joyce Grubb.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Meadow Fork Baptist Church Cemetery (218 Co Rd 753, Calhoun, TN 37309).
