He was predeceased by: his mother Olga Chambers; and his brother Jerry Dwayne Chambers. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Chambers; his children, Erik Chambers (Mary Hall) and Stephanie Godfrey (Brian); his father Jerry Donald Chambers; and his brothers, Donald Chambers, Freddie Chambers and Ray Ralston.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Jim may be offered to St. Jude or Bartlett Woods Children's Ministry.
