He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy and Mary Carter, Sr.; and his siblings, James E. Currin, Dillard H. Currin, Robert O. Carter and Jane S. Szulewski.

He is survived by: his wife Caroline Ann Carter; and his sibling's children, James Currin of Memphis, TN, Chris Tilman of Memphis, TN, Barry G. Gallatin of Herford, NC and Christina Brown of Clarksville, TN..

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions there will be a private graveside at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
