He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford McWhirter and Avie Linville McWhirter. He is survived by : his wife Mildred McWhirter; his children, Debra Karch, Gail Watson and Edwin Scott McWhirter; his grandchildren, Zachary Scott McWhirter, Lucas Watson, Logan Watson, Landon Watson, Nathan Karch and Matthew Karch; his great grandchild Adeline; his brother Robert McWhirter; and his friend David Kist.
