She was predeceased by : her parents, LaRoy Smith and Luella Parsell; her husband James Loren Smith; her daughter Ellen Ross; her granddaughter Lori Anne Parker; and her siblings, Betty, Mary, Kenneth and Rick.

She is survived by : her children, Brenda Barnes, Jim Smith (Amber), Mike Smith (Lori) and Lori Pryor (Chris); and her grandchildren, Scott Barnes, Eric Smith, Alex Smith (Erik), Lauren Clifton (B. J.), James Ross, Taylor Ross, Rachel Reese (Doc), Brian Dew (Courtney), Brandon Dew (Kara) and Brianna Dew. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
