It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Doherty of Big Sandy, Tennessee, who passed away on September 1, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joy Doherty to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her husband JC Doherty; and her brothers, Robert Franklin McDaniel and Fred Clay McDaniel. She is survived by : her children, Linda Doherty of Big Sandy, TN, Judy, Robert Phifer of Camden, TN, Twin and Joyce McDaniel Evans of Big Sandy, TN; her grandsons, Randy Allen Jr. of Paris, TN, John Christian Phifer of Nashville, TN and Nicholas Grant Phifer (Carmen) of Cleveland, TN.; and her great grandchildren, Randy Allen III, Conor Grant Phifer, Robert Avett Phifer, Abby Kate Allen and Isabel June Phifer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her honor to Larkspur Conservation, PO Box 120279 Nashville, TN 37212 or at LarkspurConservation.org A private graveside ceremony will be held at Stockdale Cemetery in Lick Creek.
