She was predeceased by : her parents, D. O. Stallard and Alice Stallard; her husband Charles Delo Meade; her son Robert Steven; her siblings, Lona Miller, Mary Louise Thomas, Ruth Poston, Virginia Boggs and Bill Stallard; and her children-in-law, Donna Meade and Jim Hewett.

She is survived by : her sister Sue Bauer; her children, Brenda Horne (Charles), Carole Thompson (Don), Pam (Michael) of Maine, Chris Hewett, Charles Meade and Greg Meade (Laura Woodruff); her brother-in-law Earl Poston; and her pet Sugar. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
