He was predeceased by: his parents, Dariel Duane and Velma Sue Wakefield; and his sister Nancy Peters. He is survived by: his wife Wendy May Wakefield; his children, Brian Scott Wakefield, Benjamin Michael Wakefield and Megan Leila Sue Rutigliano (Frank Robert Rutigliano); his grandchildren, Cadence May Wakefield and Violet Reuss Rutigliano; and his brother Michael Wakefield. He is also survived by his community, friends and family.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Elizabethton Betsy Band.
