He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Carrier and Verda Carrier; his wife Jean Browning Carrier; his sister JoAnn Carrier Dunlap; and his granddaughter Sarah Fanduzz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Carrier (Tami) and Phyllis Fanduzz Eldridge (John); his sisters, Marilyn Miller and Virginia Meredith; his grandchildren, Joseph Andrew Fanduzz and Rachel Leigh Fanduzz; his great grandchildren, Chance Bowen Fanduzz and Joseph Stephen Fanduzz II; his close friend Doris Sheppard; and also Freda "Susie" Tabit Justice.
