It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Davis (Savannah, Tennessee), who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Sara departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Sara. Though Sara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anise Pickering McDaniel and Major Cyrus McDaniel Sr.; her husband Carmen; and her siblings, Anise, Annette, Major Jr., Jane and Jack.
She is survived by: her son Curtis. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Sara was the organist at Southside Baptist Church in Savannah and only retired at 94 years of age in 2020 due to the Pandemic.
