She is survived by: her son Robert Spiegel; her daughter-in-law Donna Kay Coffey; her daughter Kathy Spiegel of Sharon Township, Michigan; her nieces, Sharon Sharp Bull (Keith) of Machipongo, Virginia, Mary Sharp Bruce (Greg) of LaFollette, Shirley Davis of Lake City, Tennessee, Muhammad and Rifqa Abdullah; her grandchild Emad Abdullah; her great grandchildren, Zoey, Trinity and Paisley Woods-Abdullah; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, LeEllen Green (Darrell), Adam Bruce (Ashley), Mary Elizabeth Francia (Nick), Conner Bruce, Laura Green Holman and Bobby Green.
Joy's rich and productive life was cut short by Alzheimer's disease.
