He is survived by: his wife Martha Louise Pulley Whittington of Brownsville, TN; his children, Bobby Hughes Whittington, Jr. (Briahna) of Bourbonnias, IL, Kevin Robert Whittington (Laura) of Knoxville, TN and Martha Ann Barnett of Henning, TN; his brothers, Horace Ray Whittington (Jessie) of Brownsville, TN and Emmitt Jefferson Whittington (Barbara) of Humboldt, TN; and his close friend Leon King of Brownsville, TN. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
