He was predeceased by: his daughters, Chasity Higdon and Brandy Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Angela Higdon; his children, Candice Warrells, Joe W. Higdon, Jr. and Shawn M. Higdon; his siblings, Monica Sue Arndt, Milly Carpenter, Wendell Higdon and Jeff Higdon; and his grandchildren, Haston W. Pittman, Blake Pittman, Brenden Higdon, Ashley Steakley, Shawn Luciano Higdon-Tovar and Alira Simmons. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Munford Funeral Homes - Munford Chapel (1136 Tipton Rd, Munford, TN 38058). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
