She was predeceased by: her parents, Edd Allen and Buron May Smothers Allen; her husband Rev. James Higdon; her sons, Johnny Ray Higdon and David Higdon; and her brothers, Milburn Allen and Abbott Dwayne Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Andy Higdon of Huntingdon, TN, Tim Higdon (Kayla) of Camden, TN., Peggy Hartley (JR) of Camden, TN and Lynda Thornton (Jerry) of Holladay, TN.; her siblings, Bobby Gerald Allen (Karen) of Mt. Juliet, TN. and Betty Jane Noles of Camden, TN.; and her grandchildren, Janelle Cook, Lesley Pierce (Joey), Jeremy Thornton (Julie), Tanesha Parks (Paul), Jessica Hamilton (Chad), Tonya Krypciak (John), Tina Acosta (Donnie), Tyson Higdon, Baille Melton, Brooklyn Higdon and Fifteen.
