He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Smith and Jettie Idelle Franklin Smith; his spouse Jewell Smith; and his grandson Jesse Haley. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Haley (Jim) of Jackson, TN, Thomas D. Smith of Jackson, TN and Terry Forbes of Jackson, TN; his grandchildren, Lindsay Holland (Randy), Lauren Medina (Carlos) and Katherine Carmody (Jonathan); and his great grandchildren, Alexander Medina and Ethan Medina.
