She is survived by: her husband Gordon Petty of Carthage, Tennessee; her sons, Steve Maggart (Michelle) of Brentwood and Mike Maggart (Regina) of Knoxville, Tennessee; her sister Carolyn Fleet of Brentwood, Tennessee; her sibling's children, Bill Fleet (Lynne), Cathy Nash (Wesley) and Patricia Hayes (Mike); her grandchildren, John Maggart, Todd Maggart (Demi), Rachel Maggart (Maajid Nawaz), Alison Butler (Brent), Michael Maggart and Renée Maggart; her great grandchildren, Sarah Maggart, Samantha Maggart, Matthew Maggart, Will Maggart, Angelo Cardona-Maggart and Gabriel Nawaz; and her friend Marian Cothern. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sue may be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution or the Smith County Historical Society.
