It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Faye Dowd (Charlotte, Tennessee), who passed away on May 25, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. W. A. and Roberta Layfield; and her sister Inell Layfield. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Dowd (Vickie), Steve Dowd (Gracie), Tim Dowd (Gina) and David Dowd; her grandchildren, Keith Dowd (Michelle), Kevin Dowd, Mark Dowd (Nicole), Marybeth Ramsey (Brett), Derek Dowd, Drew Dowd (Taylor), Callie Dowd, Will Dowd, Michael Apperson (Beth) and Sarah Powell; and her great grandchildren, Elle Dowd, Luca Dowd, Connor Dowd, Brayden Dowd, Jonathan Dowd, Liv Dowd, Kori Apperson and Jack Apperson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
