He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Ledford. He is survived by: his family, Mitzie Hammett Penney and Tim Hammett; his sibling's children, Shannon Holliday (Mike), Aaron Hammett, James Hammett (Bre), David Hammett (Kaleigh) and Matthew Hammett (Amy); and his pets, Dash, Sirius and Lily.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First-Centenary United Methodist Church (419 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37402). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
