He was predeceased by : his parents, George P. Anderson and Gaynelle Potter Anderson; his daughter Melinda Anderson James (Allen); and his siblings, Carol Anderson Smith and Gary Dean Anderson.

He is survived by : his wife Brenda Peterson Anderson; his daughter Jodie Anderson (Doug); his grandchildren, Katie James, Victoria Cole, Sophia Harvey and Jesse Cole; his great grandchild Jazlynn Harvey; his son-in-law Al James; and his brother Robert Anderson. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carter-Trent Funeral Home (520 Watauga St, Kingsport, TN 37660). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Holston View Cemetery (1383 US-23, Weber City, VA 24290).
