He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Fessey Durrett and Dawson Winfield Durrett, Sr. (Chelsea); and his sister Virginia Durrett Senseney. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Durrett; his children, Shelton Durrett (Steve Meriwether), Mary Frances Durrett and Susan Durrett Nicholson (Clark); the mother of his children Shelly Jenkins Gray; his grandchildren, Laura Carr, Dr. Dawson Nicholson, Samuel Nicholson, Vincent, Dane Carlisle and Mattie; and his great grandchild Veda Durrett Clouser.
