He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Lyle Jones and Beatrice Lulu Baggett Jones; and his wife Mary Louise "Peggy" Jones. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Larry Knight (Lisa), Kathy Lewellen (Mike) and Edward Chester; his sister Sara Highsmith; and his nieces, Betsy Boyd (Steve) and Judy Hays (Rodney).
