She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Jackson and Beatrice Cole Jackson; her husband Doyle Mason Melton; her daughter Phillis Melton Smith; and her siblings, George Jackson, Billy Jackson, Fay Nichols and Shirley York.
She is survived by: her son Darrell Melton (Kim); her siblings, Roger Jackson (Robin), Terry Jackson, Judy Lindsey and Anita Justice (John Kokoski); her grandchildren, Mason Melton, Denton Melton, Charmaine Smith and Robert Smith; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Jo Jackson, Nancy Rinehart (John) and Eddie Nichols.
