She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stewart Hinson Sr. and Ollie Richardson Hinson; her husband Joe I. Edmondson Jr.; her grandson Sean P. Edmondson; and her brothers, John S. Hinson Jr. Bettye, Charles Dudley Hinson, Henry Lorin Hinson and George Emmitt Hinson.
She is survived by: her children, Joe I. Edmondson III (Effie Lou), Karen D. Smith (Edward), John Edmondson and David Edmondson (Cindy). She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
