He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Rowe Averitt, Sr. and June McCarty; and his sister Amy Averitt. He is survived by: his children, Jay Averitt (Catherine), Caroline Averitt and Emily Dial (Christopher); his siblings, Rev. David Averitt (Debbie) and Leigh Averitt (Paula Sheppard); his stepdaughters, Marlee Tyldesley, Trista Dodd and Britain Millerd; and his grandchildren, Sally June, George, Ruth and Rowan.
