She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Howard and Dora Burgin; and her husband John Ruppel. She is survived by: her sons, Jonathan Ruppel (Al) and Joey Ruppel (Jaime); her sister Pamela Hawkins (Glenn); and her grandchildren, Katherine Ruppel, Ryan Ruppel and Jonah Ruppel.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
