It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Warren Chord (Cleveland, Tennessee), who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ellsworth Chord and Edith Esther Clayton; his wife Joan Marie Landphere; his son Bob Chord; and his siblings, Donald Chord, Zoe Grotzke, Doris Mickelson, Wayne Chord, Vernon Chord, Everett Chord, Iris Dau, Ruth Mayer and Paolo Chord.
He is survived by: his children, Warren LeRoy Chord of Gillette, WY, Daniel Howard Chord (Patty) of Riceville, TN and Edie; and his sister Ilowee Owens of Arizona.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
